Artist’s Book: Wigwam for a Goose’s Bridle, 2026
During a 2026 residency at the British Library, the artist created a book about her father's life in New Zealand. It holds handwritten anecdotes he once told her about his childhood, memories he can no longer recall due to advanced Alzheimer's disease. Light-hearted in his early years, the stories grow more sorrowful as he ages.
The book's form is drawn from brain scans of patients with advanced Alzheimer's, cut into a foldable map of New Zealand. When folded, it sits in a transparent map holder alongside archive photographs of her father, his siblings and his parents.
